I have an 02 truck with the comp drag on it already and was thinking of sending it back for the "HOT" flash option. If anybody has done this can you tell me the specs and if you like it better. I have already called edge but the tech support line is sooo busy and my local diesel proformance shop can only tell me that it changes the top end rmps.

 

Edge claims that the only difference is the fueling will go to 2700 on a edge comp & the Drag comp will fuel to 3200rpm. When I had mine upgraded I sent in a Edge comp version 8.0, got back a Drag comp version 10.8. The Drag seemed to fuel harder across the entire rpm range, not only a longer fuel stretch. I think the upgrade is well worth the money.

 

I went from a normal comp to the drag 10.8 and I could definitely notice a difference, stock turbo and 285 tires and in 2wd doesn't hook up til almost 3rd gear (auto) before just into 2nd gear and I noticed my egts were noticeably higher....

If you have a drag comp, it won't do anything for you. The Hot and Drag are the same thing.

 

Good catch. He did say in his post that it is a Drag comp already. I somehow missed that.

 

That is my mistake i thought that they were one in the same.
