My box is ver 7.0, made 7-31-2002 and just 2 months ago it started acting up. First I thought it was a power supply issue because it would shut off at random, then it began to "Lock up and become unresponsive". Now it's causing enough havic that I removed it altogether and called for an RMA.

Any idea how it tends to go from here? Should I get the lube out, or are they going to treat me well?

Keep in mind that was a quote from one un-named vendor, not every vendor. I've heard they know Chinese QC sucks and should be fairly responsive.
