I installed an edge comp from xtremediesel on my buddy's '98 24 valve, 5 speed dually, we took it for a drive and it did not seem to have any effect, no more power, no smoke, no tire bark. I looked to make sure I had everything hooked up right and everything looked good, also took it by a diesel shop that sell chips and they could not tell what was wrong either.

what does his fuel pressure gauge read? any difference in EGTs? how about boost? any boost related codes? it'll act as a boost fooler, but if there are codes maybe its not hooked up right. do the lights light up on the module? maybe some dielectric grease on all connections...

 

Check to make sure the wire tap is on the right wire and that it is solid. Also, edge seems to be having a bad run of comps lately. A buddy of mine picked up two brand new ones and neither of them worked. Got them reprogrammed from edge and they work fine now. At least they did till his VP started to act up.

 

I just got mine reprogrammed to a drag and it won't even turn on now....And after an email to Edge no word back...yet..Not to happy with them right now
