I know some guys leave the MAP unplugged on their trucks.. Does doing that cause the truck to throw a code? and does the check engine light come on?

 

No, as long as you have the COMP installed.

yea I sent mine off to edge for the drag upgrade and my engine light is on...I'm gonna assume it's because the circuit isn't completed...but it runs fine..

 

Ive got the DRAG comp and I have never ran it with the MAP plugged in. I have had no CEL.

 

I have an eadge EZ pulse on my 98 24vlv. I un-pluged the map sensor and it threw a code over boost. All doing it does is incease your low boost fueling so you throw some smoke untill your turbo can catch up. But after a coulple of starts the code goes away.

 

I have just installed my comp and hook up the power inside the fuse box with the clip that goes over a fuse. did away with that because sometime it would not come on, and every now and then i will loose all throttle and it will just idle for a second then kick in. then the engine light will come on but has not done that in a while. After a few starts the light will go off on its own. any tips on my problem
