I recently had industrial 150+ HP injectors, arp head studs, industrial HR VP -44
Installed.
(Prior to that, AirDog 150 and SBC).
I'm driving it around now, runs well except for in 6th gear. It starts to sputter at ~1800 RPM. Irractic power. Runs fine at all other years.

I'm suspecting the comp box is spazzing out.

Any ideas? My first step is to disconnect batteries. See if that resets anything.

well I would not think that a specific gear would cause the edge to have an issue. is the sputter happening around the same rpm on other gears. what does your fuel pressure read? also the VP from industrial , that is the hot rod pump. this has added timing. on you Edge this also has added timing.
are you running the edge with high timing? this would or could cause a fuel knock, popping/crackle sound (hard to explain that one) loss of power.
if you feel you as you said sputter.
sputter as it has power than no power. like the power is broken with gaps?
or sputter like its running out of fuel and about to die.

dirty fuel filters, bad fuel, not enough fuel pressure and running out of fuel.
turn down settings on edge and try and see if that helps.
if its the same. disconnect the edge completely without the edge connected anywhere and see.

talk to industrial and ask how much is to much timing with that pump.

As stated, sputtering ONLY in 6th gear (broken power gaps, hesitation, bucking...all of that). Any other gear at that RPM range no sputtering. Only in 6th.

I didn't get a chance yet to reset battery.

New fuel, New filter (Air Dog 150),

With the Edge Box off, it runs fine.

so why are you reseting using the batteries? that may or may not erase codes. Do you have codes present? did you check for codes? I would change settings on the edge. lower the timing and see what happens.
also do a search on how to reset your APPS.

boxes like edge will magnify some things. I know on my truck with my smarty at times when I have the TQ mang all the way up I will feel some increased dead play that is in a certain rpm range due to a APPS that is going out. does this happen when you are in cruise control and hit a hill and then you truck raises rpm to that spot?

do you know how to pull codes on your truck with your key ingnition and digital odometer readout on dash?

if you have codes post them up.
