Oh a nother thing, i have talked with several people about this conversion and they all say i need to find a "baby 13" supposedly its just a 13 with a smaller case ect. used in some dump trucks back in the day... still workin on finding one...

I drive both every day and most of the time I can shift an eaton faster than my nv5600 with a dual disk clutch. Clutch feels lighter on the freightliners too

you use the clutch to shift a 10 or 13 sp. non-syncroed trans.? the shifts on these transmissions can be fast, but you have to shift at least twice as much as a 5 speed. i guess with a light pick up you could skip gears, and i have to admit it would be kinda cool. would make it feel like you were driving a "real" truck. i think with the size of these transmissions it would be a very tight squeeze.

No clutch needed- that is the appeal of the eaton fuller trannies: clutchless shifting. I can do clutchless shifts with my nv5600 too, but its not as smooth.

my nv4500 is very slow shifting with the dual disc
i should not have too much trouble fitting it cause i am going to cut the tunnle out install the tranny and build a new tranny tunnle

you know i would like to d a 8.3 cummins with a 24Vhead and p-pump is the 8.3 just like the 5.9 only larger?
