Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler

I ordered one yesterday from Jegs. I don't want to go straight piped because it's just too loud for me. :'( :'( I also don't feel like spending $300.00-$500.00 on a complete exhaust. This was my only other option except for keeping the factory exhaust which I've already butchered up when I tried to go straight piped. I'll let you guys know how I like it. Total cost is around $85.00

Re:Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler

Mine is straight piped and it is a little loud when the tach is about 1850 rpm. That is about where I like to pull loads and it can get to be annoying. I was thinking about putting a muffler back on but haven't decided to yet. Besides, I like to hear it when I take off from a dead stop. Does anybody know what a glass pack or something similar would be like?
Tom

I installed a terminator that I got at checker for around 55.00 It was similar to the dynomax very heavy made and aluminized coating it is not loud at all just a little above stock but it sure breaths better. Matt

Re:Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler

I just bought a Dynomax 4 in race muffler. Basicly a 4 in glasspack. Going to try to put it on this weekend if the weather permits. The straight pipe is only a little too loud, but it has a raspy sound that I don't care for. I'm hoping this will help. I'll let you know.

Re:Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler

I'm glad to hear some positive feedback. I was expecting somebody to tell me that I was wasting my money and that it was not made for diesel trucks. I will also let everybody know how it works out.
As for what I did to my stock exhaust, it is back on the truck now. It went back on pretty easily along with a little straight 3" pipe and some flex pipe to connect the muffler back to the tailpipe.
