drag racing and trans questions

the other day I was drag racing, I had it in 2wd the first few times, lockup switch on and OD locked out. running down the track I get to the top of 3rd and hit the OD button, and it stays lit. the trans never shifted into OD either. it did this twice. so then I decide to leave the OD button alone. it works great then, but a few times when I ran it in 4wd, it wouldn't shift in to OD either. did I do something wrong or what? it seemed like it would shift into OD if I pushed the transfer case into 2, but there was a time I ran a great run in 4x4 and forgot to push it into 2 and it still went into OD. any one else have this? its the stock trans BTW.

The O/D switch is not shifting because of our tps. Mine freaks out when it wants too. I was just at the track last night and it would let me shift in to o/d two out of the three times I ran. I am pretty sure your tps needs adjusting. I have the same problem. I adjusted mine so it would shift into o/d at full throttle but then my converter lockup is all messed up. Not sure if I will ever win

LanceD did you run 15.75 with the big tires or swap out small smaller ones for the racing?
