No, the biggest tire I run on my Dodge are the 255s. I don't care for tires with real wide footprints for my tow vehicle. That wide footprint hurts your fuel economy more than most people think. The 35s I'm talkin about were on old rockcrawlers that I used to run. Back when 35s where considered "Huge tires".

I ran 315/75/16 Nitto terra grappler's on the stock 16x8 rims (technically 16x7.5 if you look at the sticker on the door jamb) for 30k miles and they wore flat and smooth. They did rub on the lower control arm though and I had a 2" leveling kit. FWIW, my 305/70/16's rubbed on the lower control with and without the leveling kit. Once I put my 16x10" rims with 4.5" back spacing there was no way I could run my 35's with the leveling kit. I could get half a turn and they would tear into the back of my fender. So I put on a 4.5" lift and all of my rubbing problems are solved.

Yeah, looking at it it's gonna be close. The part I'm worried about is behind the wheel. I think having the more narrow wheel might get me by. If not, and it is rubbing behind the wheel, do you think longer lower control arms will help?

The poll was for 315's rubbing on 8x16" wheels right? Other than 'GlenRMK' , with after market wheels, I can't believe there are ANY that don't rub... let alone as many as voted that way???

I'm sorry, I've got aftermarket wheels (16X8), stock suspension, and 285's on the truck now (plenty of room, no rubbing). Ideally, the backspacing on the aftermarket wheels would keep the tire from rubbing on the control arm, and the 2" lift in the front would keep the trie fron rubbing in the fender well behind the tire when I put on the 315's but we'll see if I get lucky.

I believe he is referring to 2 inch lift spacers, not wheel spacers. I run 315's on stock wheels and have no wear problems FWIW.

I run 315/75R16 Mastercraft M/T's On 16x9 wheels and 2" Skyjacker spacers and they rub a little when turning into a steep driveway or anywhere that pushes the wheel up into the fender. Doesent really bother me but I am used to it by now! Heres how it sits

Here's mine on 315 Toyo Open Country A/Ts. The Jeep on the trailer is running 33/12.50R15 MTRs on 8" M/T wheels. As someone mentioned earlier, when they are aired down it makes all the difference.

Do you think they will rub with a 2.5" spacer.

Does that have any extra lift in the rear? I want my truck to look like that badass ride Thanks

That's about how mine sits with 315-70-17's. Almost perfectly level with stock rear springs and 2''...oh, leveling kit, lol up front. Sucks pulling a load though, as the truck will rake from front to back with the extra weight. I plan on air bags out back this summer to remedy that issue.
