I think the AD150 is too much, likely the AD100(if they still make it) or the 165 is better as a drawstraw is not needed...and no(very few) 1/4 tank issues

my next pump will be a mechanical belt driven one, way less chance of failure

That's what I got, the Glacier fuel boss. I think Richard out there said he had 160k on his.

I had a intank pump in my truck. The module you have now will work with the Drawstraw V, and with this combination if you follow the directions will have no 1/4 tank issues. I can run 50 miles after it hits empty with no air sucking issues.

Dropping the tank is no problem at all as long as your tank straps arn't rusted to bad. It took me about 10 hrs to do the complete change over of Drawstraw Airdog 100 and complete bigline kit, I took my time and didn't rush through the install. Goodluck on the install.

I have the in tank pump since 2005. never a problem and also added the vulcan line later. Now pressure is always 14 and WOT never ever under 10psi.

The stock in-tank lift pump is really only good for stock trucks, mine would pull the fuel pressure down below 5psi at idle and free reving.

Am I the only guy running a Walbro 395 pump fuel, must have 50000km on my VP at 50psi so far with no issues. Sure a cheap fix for the lack of fuel issues, for the big power guys, you can run dual Walbro pumps.

My VP44 went out just after I bought the truck, talk about a kick in the nuts. Dealer quoted 4500$ or more. I found out my in tank pump caused the mess, probably went out on the previous owner, and was left to me to deal with. I did it all myself and replaced the in-tank with the FASS 150/150, and a pressure gauge. So easy to install, better filtration that stock, and I know where my PSI is so I dont have to deal with it again. Dont be cheap man, do it right the first time. The whole project (lift and primary pump, with gauge) with the right tools is actually pretty easy. Just make sure money isnt your only priority or you will probably be back in this position sooner or later. It's a quality and quantity issue. Once cheaply and waiting for it to leave you stranded, or pricy and no more worrying cause you know? It is a diesel they are not cheap...

I've have three spare VP, two of which have been given to me. I would ask why the dealership wanted so much money. $500 for the pump and maybe 1-2hrs to install. Probably one most easy repair to do yourself, I have done a dozen or so myself. Sure alot easier than replacing CR injectors or a P7100 pump

At the time the VP was 900 and change after core, and the in-tank pump wasnt but 100 maybe. I think it was hourly rates, material inflation, .... I did it myself and was pretty easy. After doing the research I decided to get rid of the stick lift and go aftermarket. Injectors . . . . yea... i'll drink my coffee first
