Problem deleting a "new" thread

Can we not delete posts, new threads, we create anymore? I was experimenting with adding a photo to a new thread and it didn't work so I wanted to delete it from the "Other" forum.
Thanks,
Nat

As long as someone hasn't responded to it, you should be able to delete. I just did it with a post here.

I get, "Not authorized to perform that function" and offers to allow me to change my login.
Sometimes I feel like a RHS, (RedHeaded Stepchild). No offense intended to redheaded stepchildren across the globe.

The reason you can't delete a thread you started is because it would delete the posts of everyone who responded. I'm positive that this can be changed by the admin but don't think it's something they would want to do.
Never tried the delete it before anyone responded trick here but know it doesn't work on other boards I visit.
Best thing you can do to delete one you started is click "report this post to a moderator" and ask them to delete it.
