I HAVE A 99 1 TON DODGE 2WD AND I WANTED TO KNOW IF D25 SKYJACKER SPRINGS WOULD LEVEL THE TRUCK BECAUSE IT SITS EXTREMLY LOW IN THE FRONT AND I WOULD ALSO LIKE THE SPRINGS TO HOLD MORE WEIGHT

No, D25 springs are too tall for a 2wd.

are d25's 2 or 3" anyway? if there 3" that might be just enough to fit my 315's. my 2" dosent cut it.

Most people get 2.5" out of them.

Probably not enough by themselves to stop your rub.

DT makes some 1/2" longer control arms, that when paired with the D25's make room for the 315's.

4wd springs won't even fit a 2wd, they are bigger around

I looked into fitting a stock set of 4wd springs under mine to give me the lift, but they are someting like 7-8" across, and mine ar ~5-1/2".

D25's lift the truck 2.5" which is prefect (at least for mine) for clearing 315's on 17" H2 wheels. I did install T-Rex Mini Packs in the rear both to improve ride and looks.eg

how much did them mini packs set ya back edgrim? Im doin ths same thing as you with the D25 springs but wanna lift the back a lil bit too, I was gonna do the add-a-leaf but if them mini packs could lift it without makin it stiffer that would be great.
Also where do you buy TREX?

The mini packs cost 300.00 from T-Rex look here www.trexengineering.com Look at the contacts page and call them. Ask for SaraMae is the owner partner with Kent her husband, be sure to check out the pictures of the truck jumping, too cool.

If that's not what you want I have some shaved skyjacker blocks for 70.00

Ed's on the right track here.

As a D25 owner, I discourage people from going to them. They are not only inexpensive, they are CHEAP. Look at them! Look at the pics in my member's gallery!

See the huge space between windings? See the thin material? It's almost impossible to make a good progressive spring with so few windings!

I would HIGHLY recommend you get the T-rex springs. Rather than being stuck with some cheap, inflexible springs, you can get a CUSTOM PAIR OF THE ULTIMATE QUALITY! You want more load capability for that massive bumper? No problem! You want a little softer spring for better ride? No problem!

IIRC, the T-rex coils also run about $300. For the record, this is a little over TWICE the price of the D25s. But the T-rex coils are TEN TIMES better.

That makes the T-rex coils a MUCH BETTER VALUE than the D-25s. Learn from my mistake. I went with what others here on the board did. I should have done it right.

For the hassle of the D-25 install, all I gained is a bit more clearance. Unfortunately, the ride quality was only helped when I was THRASHING the truck off-road. On the road, the D25s just won't flex.

While I AM happy with my DT track bar, I cannot recommend the D25s when there is a much better bargain to be had on a superior products.

T-REX COILS.

So Which Is It

Do I get D25's or T-Rex springs to level out my 2002 2500. Somebody point me in the right direction.

Thanks, Ronnie

T-Rex isn't around any more...they morphed into KORE. D25's are junk....there are several better options. I would suggest coilsprings.com, worth the extra money.

Just installed the Kore Performance leveling kit on my 01. Very high quality parts and it did level my truck. (replaced Tough Country steel spacers). I thought the $565.00 for the parts I got was worth it. Truck rides much better with the 5100 series Bilsteins.
