D25 springs and 35" Pro Comps are on!(pics)

Got my tires mounted and balanced today, along with an alignment.

Got my D25 springs and Skyjacker Nitro shocks on yesturday. Pretty easy install. Needed spring compressor on one side. Used the stock in the truck bottle jack trick. Worked well.

Also did vaccum pump seal. That was a PIA. Took longer then the springs.

Also, did new front pads and rotors.

Spent way too much time on the truck lately!

But, I don't know why you guys are complaining about the ride of the D25 springs. Mine rides better then stock, for sure. Very happy. I did have one shock that was blown out though.

Only place it rubs is on the passenger side mudflap, a few inches down from the fender. Might remove mudflaps or hope the tire pushes it into the right spot.

Also, I still sit about 1"-1.25" higher in the back. But that is about perfect in my book.

Heres the pictures

looks nice! I need to quit breaking things so I can afford fun stuff for my truck! I just went throught the vacuum pump a couple weeks ago on mine, kind of a pain isn't it? the drive pins sheered off of the pump side gear on mine.
It's good to hear you like how the D25's ride, I've been worried about putting them on since I've heard everyone say how rough theirs ride, I just don't think mine could ride any rougher than it does now!

D25's will not fit 2WD.

Those of you that think the D25 rides nice haven't experienced a quality spring. Ask anybody that's gone from the D25's to the CSS springs I've been recommending....

Glenn, your truck looks pretty sharp now...

Lookin good One bit of advice, make sure you rotate your pro comps every oil change. Mine have been a bit sensative. I also like the ride of the D25s, they are softer than my plow springs that I run in the winter - man those babies are stiff! Is that a 3rd gen 4x4 off road decal? It looks really good on there!

Yep

3rd gen Off Road decal

Ya, every 3k for rotations for sure!

O ya, and it does touch the lower control arm on the right side @ full lock. But that is easily avoided.

May pull front Mud flaps to get rid of the rub. Or take the heat gun to them to try get it bent back a little.

Looks really good!

How much lift do you have in the rear? I have the daystars on my truck and my rear end sags about and 1 too much.

SuperDave,
I have the same truck as you and when I put my D25's on, the front was about an inch higher than the back. I ended up putting an add-a-leaf in the back and not it sits about 1 inch higher in the back. Perfect for me. I do not have the camper package. I think that makes a difference?

Despite some claims in another thread that they don't, empirical evidence seems to suggest that camper package trucks are a bit higher in back than non-camper package trucks. I also have the D25 coils and the camper package, and my truck sits about 1 1/4" higher in the rear than the front. That's the hub center to wheel-lip measurement.
