I just pulled out my RV injectors to swap in some Jammer 5's and I noticed that the injectors from 4,5,6 all had blueish heat marks on the tips and they were extra dark and crusty. In fact, I had to use solvent to clean up those tips whereas 1,2,3 were clean with just a rag.

Do you all think that the last three cylinders are starved for air?

And if so, is it possible that the Banks twin air intake might serve a purpose by creating more even intake flow?

Has anyone else pulled their sticks and noticed difference in apparent burn status?

My pyro has never gone past 1450 and never past 1200 with a trailer, but I do live at 4500+ elevation where the air is thin.

 

Of the 3 sets of injectors I've run in my truck they've all come out equally dirty but none have ever been burnt color. And yes, the back cylinders are the most starved for air with 6 being the worst. Yes the twin ram intake from banks is worth the money but they don't make it for the 24v because of the injector lines.

 

Yes-- twintake is just for 12V trucks. It helps.

Keep on eye on those Jammers-- they extra fuel the deliver can make an already hot-running cylinder a little TOO hot. It sounds like those rear cylinders can be rough on sticks!
