Custom grind fuel plate

So I decided to try to grind my own plate from a stock one I had laying around. I took the profile of a TST #10, made it a little less severe. Then adjusted the afc housing, governor arm, and star wheel.
This truck has never run so crisp. I can control the smoke with my foot, and if there was any power loss it was minimal.
And under a hard long pull, i can still generate enough boost to blow a boot off the intercooler. Going to be replacing all of them soon enough.
The point is don't be afraid to try it. You may be pleasantly surprised with the results.

Pull the plate out, you'll be even more impressed.

Get gauges before you do anything.

Stock plate slid all the way forward, no pyro

I'm not sure about this...I cut a zero plate for my truck...Works good...But unsure if the zero plate is the same as no plate...

Depends on the plate position and AFC position. Cut a deep 0 plate, and you may hit the rack plug before the plate. If the AFC is to the rear, it may stop the gov arm before it ever contacts the plate.
