I assume a C series mechanical lift pump will bolt on but will it flow more gpm/gph than the B sries pump? thanks.

 

Generally, the C-series injection pumps flow less fuel than what is capable of the Dodge injection pumps. I wouldn't think it would be a stretch that the lift pumps follow a similar trend. Whats wrong with 2nd gen lift pumps? Cheap, reliable, and support 600 hp with ease. Ron Allen dynoed just under 1200 with a factory lift pump when he forgot to turn on his supplemental electric pump.

 

I got one on line and it ended up geing a cheap on and i'm haveing a fuel presssure problem at ilde almost 0psi and about 22psi at 2000 rpm. If I pinch off the return line it will creep up to 10 or so at ilde. I love the mechanical pumps I just didnt want to get another one to find I dont have enough fuel.

 

Buy a OEM pump from Cummins or genos, cheaper than any auto parts store by a lot.

OEM Cummins pump says "Made in China" right on it! lol When I replaced mine I made sure it was a genuine Carter. Made in USA! 44,000 miles later, so far so good...

 

Cummins' biggest factories are in China.
Makes sense because it's also where they have the most customers.
