Control Arm Bolt Torque?

Does anyone happen to know how tight the control arm bolts should be torqued?

My passenger side, lower arm, is loose where it mounts to the frame.

All the other arms are solid, no movement at all
(except the way they are supposed to move )
but the loose one moves side to side about 1/8 of an inch.

Can't get it to move back/forth with my hands, but I bet if I chocked that wheel and pushed/pulled the truck I'd see it move.

I am hearing a "thunk" when backing up (out of a parking stall) and applying the brakes.
It sounded like it was coming from the passenger side front, so I started wiggling things.
Been doing it for a couple of weeks, but I don't usually pull in to spots forward, so I don't hear it much..
I can grab the arm, and it makes the same "thunk" as it moves.

Oh, would the Skyjacker arms require different torque?
I would think it would be the same as stock.

I think I have a year warranty on the parts, maybe 6 months on the labor, and I got it in March.

Probably going to take it to them next week sometime, as I'm off work and have time to do it.
Woud be nice to know the figures for future reference though.

thanx

Phox,
Not sure about the '02, but my '97 Chrysler Service Manual says the following:

Suspension Arm Lower:
Axle Nut 95 ft.-lbs.
Frame Nut 125 ft.-lbs.

Hope this helps,

Oh, Skyjacker. That explains everything. I've bought lots of stuff from Skyjacker, and they all share two characteristics. They're very strong and take a lot of abuse. And the fit is -always- off. You've always got to do something that's not in the instructions, replace a part, fab a work-around, to make it bolt up.

Hate to sound cynical, but with the Skyjacker kit, throw the specs out the window. I'd torque it down 10 lbs. at a time until the play disappears, being careful not to crush or bind the connection. Try to follow specs or directions, and it probably won't work.

Re:Control Arm Bolt Torque?

Thanx for the input.

After researching, I've found that a lot of Skyjacker lifts experience mysterious loosening of parts.

Since I don't have a torque wrench yet
(am expecting one for Christmas, never had use for one before)
I'll run it in to the place I got it on Monday, just in case a bushing has gone south.
(the side to side, but no forward movement makes me wonder)

I'll have them check the whole kit and kaboodle for other problems while I'm there.
