comp TST Smarty fuel mileage
comp TST Smarty fuel mileage
Today I tried something a little different. Had to make a road trip with my truck so I decided to run the Smarty #9 comp in EZ mode TST on level 4. I know double timing but fuel saver on smarty is more timing right? So what I thought is why not run more timing since I was not loaded. Well haven't filled up yet but I went further than I ever have on a quarter tank of fuel 240 mi. Forgot look where I'm at now but will fill tomorrow and let you know. Beauty is, to run hard all I have to do is turn off comp and bump up TST to 9
Actually as far as egt's I thought they were running a little lower on level ground
and maybe a slight increase on steeper grades. I was watching that as well as my boost which seemed to be about 2psi on level ground. I would really like to know the timing of the comp, smarty#9 and then the timing of the smarty fuel saver mode. My thought was if the fuel saver mode just increases timing why not run timing with smarty and comp box as long as I'm not racing or pulling a load. Am I right about this? Seems to give me some great fuel mileage
