COMP with no w/ tap ????????

I have the comp( no wire ) please help me conferm I am right. Some say the power levels affect when the power comes on, I beg to differ. Mine only has one power setting but the sub levels (the ones that flash????) control where in the boost range the power comes on. So that means 1/1 1/2 1/3 1/4 1/5 are the same as 5/1 5/2 5/3 5/4 5/5.Please correct me if I'm wrong . Thanks

I'm not sure I understand compleatly? But I think I disagree.
With my comp and no wire pierce, I saw very little difference between levels 1-5 but did notice a fair amount of difference between sub levels 1-1 and 5-1 in the smoke and throtle response dept. From what I felt there was no difference in end power just that a lower sub level made the power come on slower(much easier to control smoke as boost levels came up more before fueling came on?) Once the wire is tapped the difference between levels and sub levels is much more pronounced. The difference we see maybe the dfference in motors? Hope this answered what you were asking.

LoL ,ratsun I,m not sure I understand you completly.What are you calling the sub levels the ones that flash or the ones that stay on??? As you say you couldn't see a difference between sub levels 1-1 and 5-1. I thought the second number is the sub level ( eg. 1-5 ) where 5 is the sub level (flashing lights on comp) and 1 being the power level(solid light). One of us is backwards Lol . Yes I agree with the sub levels(flashing ones) the lower the number the power comes on slower, but the question I'm am really trying to ask is does havig a different power level on (solid lights) affect anythig.

I always thought of the sub levels as the ones that flash, and noticed a big difference in delay with these. The reg no flashing levels pre wire tap were faint(I felt no difference 1-3, 3-5) After the wire tap there is a noticeable change between all settings. Sounds like what you said

sub levels,responsiveness levels or fueling levels call it what you will they are the ones that flash this is how to control when the extra fuel the comp provides is dumped into the injectors meaning 1-1 the power of level 1 does not come on until turbo spools up where 1-5 fuel is immediately dumped into cylinders without waiting for turbo to spool 5-5 being the most responsiveness and the most immediate fuel delivery hence the cloud of black smoke until turbo catches up. I tried this just for fun, I am all about the wire tap but that is just me and I didnt notice any power gain after 2-5 and the responsiveness levels the second digit or flashing selection didnt seem to have any affect on performance without tap. I hope this helps for I did go out and try it after reading your posts

Right on guys,I think were all on the same page now . I have my comp set up 1-1 , 2-2 ,3-3 ,4-4 ,5-5 , that way you dont have to go into the sub levels to change when I want my (EZ) power to come on , then you can just read the solid lights and this will tell ya what sub level you are on ,easy to adjust on the fly this way.
