Codes & Check engine light
Can you set codes with out triggering the the Check engine light?
When i first put my Comp with wire tap it triggered the Check engine light because i didn't tighten my ground for the comp. I had all of the codes cleared and haven't seen the light since.

I think the Check Engine Light will only come on for Safety, Emission or "shut down now, your engine fell out" related codes.
