Check engine light, but no codes???
I installed a remote start in my ram the other day. Now my check engine light wont turn off, and I have scanned it with an OBDii scanner and there are no codes: I have questions for you guys.
#1, are these trucks OBDii compliant, or are they OBDiii?
#2, Even though there are no codes, I cannot clear the MIL even with the scanner tool. Are there any other ways to clear the light?
#3, I have not hooked up the 2nd accessory wire (blue), could this be the cause?
The remote starter woprks great. I did notice this morning that when I climb into the running truck and turn the key to the run prosition, THEN the abs light turns on, does the self check, then turns off. Could this be the second acc. wire?
