the clutch I recived from DD southbend

Well Guys and gals,
I have been going though a hassle of getting a clutch in my truck, it was a 2 week event. but ya thats another story. this is what the center plate of the set there were worm tracks in it or what I would call worm track from a bad casting of the plate and not enough blanch grinding. I called south bend and talked to some nate I think. Petter was out. he said they will stand behind it. but still take a look have any of you had one like this.. *** you can see there are a few of them one about 2" long about 1 /16 deep 1/8 wide well words talk so lets here it guys for the price it should be perfect..

Peter is a top notch guy. Just wait for him to get back and talk to him.
I just put a 3250 sprung hub DD in, got about 1000 miles on it and the new trans. and it gets better everyday.

I agree. Peter will take care of you and I guarantee he will send you a new one no questions asked. Everyone has a slip up now and then when they mass produce stuff like peter does.

I was not saying that he was not a good guy, I am talking about there QC letting it though, on another note as I said the clutch was ordered on may 29th and do to a break down between the guys at NGM and south bend, it was still sitting in south bends shop on thursday afternoon, they picked up the over night shipping tab to get it to me. this morning the 8th. so the fact of being a good guy is NOT the ISSUE Here. it have any of yours been like this and your feelings on it. for them "being south bend" to say it will be fine.

Next day on my 13" Con FE was over $300. I just got regular shiping $51.50 and it was actualy hear the next day, go figure. But that was from DPP. I love mine and it is dooing great. You have to remember how many of these thay make in a day or so and you can't find every prob 100% of the time. But they are a good buch of guys and will make it good. It sucks to have it down I know but I have had worse probs befor trust me.

I don't know what your grudge is against peter but there's a reason he's got such a great following. So one clutch slipped by. Big deal. He's human as is his staff and mistakes happen. Peter will make it right at no cost to the customer and with no questions. I really don't understand what you have against him and his clutches.

600 megawatts:
I will tell you one thing.
You WILL be buying a SBC soon, especially with that LUK clutch.
If you dont believe me you should see the LUK I just pulled out of my truck. It was completely gone, only after about 30,000 miles. This was with my stock turbo and some 370s with a 10 plate.
I thought I would save a few bucks buying a LUK, but now I own the best this time around!!
SOUTHBEND CLUTCH all the way for these trucks.
You will learn..

SBC glitches.

Peter e-mailed me and stated that approx. one in fifty clutches has a glitch. Same manufacturer and everything. It frustrates the crap out of him,but he makes it right. Sorry one came to you.
