Hey there, I keep reading about people cranking in their star screw and blocking off wastegate along with sliding the stock plate foward. I was wondering how you do these mods. I plan on grinding the stock plate to a #100 plate (gotta find outline somewheres yet) then blocking off the wastegate and turning in the star screw. I was wondering how I do all these things along with can I do them without getting any gauges? I do not haul at all and dont hold it to the floor for long periods of time at all. I plan on getting gauges in the near future, just want a little more umph for now. Thanks.

 

Might try doing a search for those things. I think there's also some instructions in the tech facts section.

 

if you grind your plate you better get the gauges,i dont think the star wheel or the waste gate will raise egt much on a 160 pump if thats what you have

 

Buy the gauges 1st before you do any mod's.
