Hey guys, I have aquestion for all the gurues out there. What is the 2002 HO Cummins 24v requirements for optimum CFM performance for air intake, so I can properly equip my unit with an air system that is not over kill and keeps a balance as to engine performance.

 

A clean stock filter will flow 320 cfm without pulling down the filter minder. That indicates to me that that is the max a stock engine uses. Most any aftermarket filter will easily flow twice that. Most folks will do just fine with the stock filter, best bet is to monitor the filter minder, if it never moves the engine is getting all the air it can use.
