Can't do turnbuckle, what else?

'02 HO (6 speed/HX-35W). With the Smarty I would like more boost. How can I do this, I can't do the turnbuckle trick the auto guys can.
Also, will the extra boost clear up some of the smoke when I romp into it?

Thanks,
~Rob

It won't clean up the initial puff since all that is is a lack of air but it will help the top end. You need to go to piersdiesel.com and buy one of their adjustable boost elbows ($20) and install that. That way you can set the boost to whatever you want.

No problem. It should be easier than trying to find your crown.

You would think
I didn't see a boost elbow on the Piers site, but I think I may go with a manual boost controller instead.

I have used an MBC and they are slick. Can be adjusted to 1 psi increments... allowing exactly the setting you prefer.
I have one that I'm not using, if you want to try it on Saturday. Very simple to hook up.

What is the down side to an adjustable elbow? Can you fry your turbo with one? I'd like to find out more about them, I might need one if they are only in the $20 range.
