I am thinking about putting in a cam and i am wondering if adding a cam will effect the longevity of the motor. I need this truck to last me a long time, Thanks.

 

i dont understand why it would decrease the longevity. also one of don m's helix cams is harder than a stock cam so in theory it would last longer than a stock one. however I dont think a 500+ horse truck is gonna last as long as a stock one, but with proper care it should last plenty long 200,000+ then you can rebuild it and throw on a p-pump and buy a new daily driver
