cam & springs for longevity or racing???

With my sig below, will a cam & springs be good for longevity or are they basically geared toward racing.
Asking because I have my truck in shop because of excessive blowby (massive oil leak) and it had a blown head gasket. Block was good, pistons need top rings replaced, blah...blah....blah....
So is it worth it for longevity to replace cam, springs, injectors??
I do have a s400 kit shipping from Nathan, other than that no other mods. I do use the truck for work alot, so am I thinking/going in right direction??!!

a cam will help lower EGT's some and could benefit your daily driving as far as mpg's

Springs will benefit you if you plan to run higher rpms. If you do go with springs, I'd suggest oversized valve seat also. In fact, you should do that anyway. They're known to drop easily.

Injectors will help your hp and the fact you're going with twins... you'll need the extra fuel.

Once/if you do all that... you'll be bugging Bob for the TNT/R It's like eating a potato chip from there.....

Thanks tritont,
yeah right, TNT/r, that's why my truck is at Jeff's now, is because of TNT/tst stack and lead foot.
Just want to put better/reliable parts back in while he has it torn apart.
I guess I will go with the cam/springs/injectors....man, I hope this is a good decision.

If your putting twins on it I would def go with a set of springs.

the high boost levels will help hold the intake valves open and the pistons will close them. it isnt JUST rpm. but combine revs and lost of psi, and you will be smacking valves for sure. i am staying gentle until i spring it.

As said many times, valves float around 3,200-3,300 rpm so yeah springs are a good investment. An s400 would make me think cam to help spoolup that much more. If you wanna play much your gonna NEED injectors at some point. But you really need more CP3 to keep the fuel commin. You said "no other mods" but I see an arson kit and a few other descent parts there. If you tow Id say flux 1's or 1.5's is all the arson kit is good for. Good luck.
