box issues, RPM questions
I have an 01 dodge that I pull, it has a Custom Transmission, HX40, AFE stage 2, lasered injectors, BD big line kit, 90hp custom computer reprogram that eliminates torque limiting an changes timming a little, and a Dyno Sources Power box. This box is older and from what I have been told I should replace it with an Edge, or TST. My question is what is wrong with this box? I am happy with the amount of fuel it adds, as for what else it does as far as the timming I am not familiar with, but if that is the problem could it be corrected with another product such as a Smarty Programmer?
With those mods what is my next upgrade, (besides to fire ring the head, and change the studs.) I am looking to add more RPMs, what all is involved in this task? I am my own mechanic and don't know much, so any little advise is a help.

You should consider a camshaft if you haven't already. Don M's Helix cams are top notch (from what I have read) and are available in several types. Helix 1, 2 and 3. An extra bonus for us 2nd gen guys is his cams feature an extra lobe to run a mechanical lift pump (like the 12V engine) that happens to be very reliable (like the 12V engine).
Also consider a set of valve springs too, this will eliminate the chances of valve float and the piston to valve contact that results from valve float, especially for engine that are turning higher RPM's.
BTW here is a great post from Don M to read concerning the valves.

I used to run the Dyno-Sources box. I had no problems with it, it's very simple and works well. It's basically a re-badged old school Blue Chip box. I've got two friends who still run these, they're pretty reliable.
