Question 6SP rpm's vs. 48RE rpm's...

What does your truck trun RPM wise at 70MPH?

I'm interested what rev's/wind's higher at 70MPH, the 6 speed in 6th or auto in 4th.

Thanks!

DT.

the 6 speed turns more r's than the auto

Mine is 2g's at 72mph

I believe the 6 spd is 2g's at 67mph

The auto has a slightly higher OD ratio, and will turn about ~150 rpms less at a given speed over a 6 shooter irregardless of the differentail gearing.

When I had the stock 245-70X17 tires on I was turning 2100 RPM's @ 70 MPH. Now with the 315's and the Pinion Factor reset, I turn around 1875 RPM's @ 70 MPH. I haven't driven enough miles yet to see if they will make any difference in fuel economy yet, but I hope they do.

bulabula FYI, I use to say ( irregardless ) just to pi--off this guy I worked with, but it's not a word. It's just regardless.

Yup sure do. Right between 68 and 74. I sure wish DC would come up with a fix for this, theres enough trucks out there 03's 04's and the 04.5's with this problem they should have had a fix by now......

Everyone that has this vibration needs to take their truck into the dealer and get it on the books so we can get these things fixed...
They're saying right now that it isn't that big of a problem that there's a few isolated cases of it out there so I don't think they are working real hard on it....

Mine (auto) runs at exactly 2000 RPMs @ 70mph with the stock 245/70/17 pizza cutters and 3.73s...
