How much boost does it take until you need to worry about installing studs and blowing headgaskets? I would like to upgrade my turbo but I don't want to open a new can of worms.

I get nervous over 40psi with advanced timing, but that's a conservative approach. It depends on the truck, but I'd say don't go over 45psi.

One of the main killers of a HG is drive presser your HX-35 has a lot of driver presser. I would get a boost elbow if your comp did not come with one and set to gate at 40psi to be safe.

Any thing over 35 is just hot air that doesn't gain you anything with a HX35

It might read 40 on the intake side my money says it was way over 50 lbs on the exhaust side if that was a hx35.
