Good spoolup is probably like a garage sale!

spool-up...well my truck lights in the 1200-1400 range and by 1700 its already at full boost...manual tranny here too if it matters that much.

the HX55 i had was laggy...started to light at 1800, fully lit at 2300, defueled at 2700...talk about a big powerband LOL

I have a feeling that the 12v is the only reaon that thing didn't light as well for me and Dusty! These heads are just so anemic on the flow it makes me sick!

The only way to really pack some big air into one is with twins My 40/B2 would be at 51psi by 2100RPM, and was spooled at about 16-1700. Plenty fast for my liking, even at 30K lbs

ok i gotcha now...it works EXTREMELY well on my truck being a manual. but unlike chris i dont tow heavy. id like to try a nice 10k load sometime to see how it handles it...but the only thing ive towed with this turbo is a 5x8' utility trailer with a 4 wheeler on it

That rox man I can't decide if I want something quicker spooling like yours or something that'll pull harder on top like a sps66 so I'm just going to stick with what I've got and get a cam to help in both departments

But back to the topic at hand. A hx-35 is most effecient at around 20 and is good up to 34-35 before its out of its range. In comparision (based on info from II) mine is most effecient at 32 and is good up to 45 before drive pressure starts rising. I think yours is simular- just a little something to put things into perspective.

Can you describe your B-1? I bought one used this past july and it has the HX40 exhaust housing and is wastegated at 41psi. Every number is ground off of the compressor housing and "B-1 Bomber" is stamped into it. The exhaust housing still has all the numbers from the factory on it. I just want to see if I have the real thing.
Thanks
