How much boost are you guys gettin the the j-hook on the hy35 turbos?

 

I have an HX-35 with a manual, and a boost elbo, and get about 24 psi.

 

The Boost will depend on the fueling you have. Without a wastegate anywhere from 30 - 50 Psi? The HY will die at sustained 40+ boost.

 

jsut trying to bump this thread, ive heard some good and bad things about the J hook... would it just be easier to drill out and tap the turbo to fit a boost elbow?

i was thinking about doing this enstead of getting a j hook....

thoughts anyone

 

The boost elbow is for the non HY-35 trucks, the j-hook is for the HY-35 trucks. I would just wire tie the wastegate closed. The HX-35 works very nice in twins.
