I have seen 20psi on mine.

It's wastegated there, so you won't see more till you block the wastegate, add a boost fooler and add more fuel.

Don't want to much higher than 35psi on the stock turbo though.

Built into most timing or fueling boxes.

If computer sees too much boost it turns down the fuel.
Boost fooler makes the computer think it's seeing less than the maximum.

you won't be able to peg it stock...

a boost fooler(part of the EZ programming) tricks the computer into seeing a set amount of boost(20psi I believe) and with a boost elbow(comes with the EZ) you will be able to run upwards of 32 psi...

the most boost I've run is 21 psi but that's another advantage of the H.O... 1 extra pound of boost..

Can't use the elbow on a 2002 auto trannied truck.
Hardlined wastegate.

Have to use one of the other methods:

Turnbuckle, Turbo Master, or .22 shell.

dieselminded- Search button up above is our friend, use it wisely.

No, I would think it would have the opposite effect.
By providing more boost (air) you should decrease smoke.

The Turnbuckle, .22 or Turbo Master are just ways of preventing the wastegate from venting boost.

Rich.
