I was trying to get boost elbow for my 01 and was told it wouldn't work on it since there's no place to screw fitting into it.

 

if it is an auto that is correct. you have to get a j-hook. I drilled holes in the wastegate supply line until boost was where I wanted it

 

You could definitely get a J-Hook and install it. Only problem is, if you don't have any fuel mods it is doubtful that there will be any increase in boost or performance. You pretty much need the J-Hook if you increase the fuel. The HY is wasegated around 20 psi. I installed a stealth cover on my injection pump and landed the fuel wire for the Adrenaline just the other day. That little HY was putting out 38 psi. I figured about 31-32 was all I would be able to get.

 

so you drilled holes in wastegate line? wouldnt that not make as much boost?? also if im planning on getting edge J/A would i still need the j hook in my 01 to make more boost? or would the edge cover that?

The edge will make more boost than being just stock but a j-hook will give even more on top of the edge.

 

now much boost without the hook but with the edge installed? would it be more than a 2000 with the boost elbow and a edge comp? are the j hooks worth the money on top of a chip
