I picked up a P pump 12 valve engine at a sale yesterday. It's a 210 hp one and has a compressor where the vacum pump goes. Can I just unbolt that compressor and put a vacum pump there or will I have to swap timing cases too? Since this is a 210 hp engine does anyone know if it has the 90 lb valve springs?

 

if i remember right ya all you would have to do is unbolt it, or you can get and electric vacume and keep the compressor for an onboard air system

 

That is a good idea. Then I'd have an air source for my train horns. The thing is that compressor is pretty big, I'm not sure there is room under the hood for it.
