do you plan on adding anymore power?

if ill suggest go ahead and have a good quality machine shop o-ring your head, stick a .020" over marine gasket in there, with some ARP 12mm studs and you should be fine for a long time

i am in the process of doing all this work myself, and it aint cheap, but when you see it, you will know why.

cost of work- $2,000
peace of mind- priceless!

good luck

I don't plan to go any higher, i actually plan to lower it a bit. I am going to buy a older play toy and use the current truck as a tow rig.

The ps thing is a joke but i am serious. The reason for the thread is to get ideas for which gasket people are using.

like i said...a .020 over marine gasket is some HEAVY DUTY stuff...its gotta be twice the weight of the stocker, lots of metal, thick rings for sealing the pistons. goes for right about $200 and worth it

The Marine gasket for the 12v will not just "fit on" our engines, it needs to be modified to fit. A marine gasket that has been modified can be purchased for around $200.

Blew mine on my '97 with 43psi, 250k on the original head gasket...
Didnt even know it till the radiator leak turned into a oil leak when I pulled in the driveway
Ran just fine too, popped it a few miles before I got home, temps didnt go up, no loss in oil pressure, just oil puked everywhere

Went with studs/marine gasket(dont plan on anymore boost)
Still running strong....
