Typically height wont matter. The more sidewall you have the more squirlly it will be. Width wise I couldent say by ##. I live in the stone age and metric stuff dosent apply in my life. Look at some of the desert racers. They run 33x12.50 on 7 or 8 in rims. The rolled in sidewall/bead will give you more sidewall protection by being tucked inward as opposed to some kook running 31x10.50 on12" wide rims. Youll run out of clearance before you run out of rim.

I know people whoe run 315/75R16s on a stock rig with one of those 2" front leveling kits. 315s= 35x12.5 basically. The less backspacing you run (how far the wheels stick out) the less tire you can run w/o lift. With stock wheels I would think you should be able to run either 305/70s (33s) or 315s (35s) with no lift or leveling kit no problem. I run 315s on a 5" lift with 10" wide wheels with 4.25" backspacing (stick out a couple inches) with no problem and have also ran 36/12.5 TSLs no prob too. Basically..... alot of tire clearance depends on rim width and backspacing

I ran Wild Country XTX 315/75R16 without a lift on stock rims and only had some rubbing at full turn. Put on a 3" suspension lift and still run the same tires with no rubbing what so ever now. Looks good on the stock rims.
