Biggest tire on stock rim
If it's a factory aluminum wheel, your pretty much maxed out with a 315/75-16.
Some people have put larger on I'm sure but 315's tend to bulge a bit in the tread area from being squeezed on to an 8 inch wide wheel.
I ran a set and hated them for ride and wear, they looked awesome though.
305's and 285's are better choices. The 305's are a little shorter (33 inch) and don't bulge as much as the 315's (35) in the tread area. 285's will fill the wheel well nicely but not completely like a 315.

^agreed. I had 315's on mine I just put a new set on along with wider rims. The tread was completely gone in the center of the tread, and I still got about 4/32's on the shoulders. they do look nice, and fill out the wells a bit better, but you'll reduce the life of the tire restricting them to a narrow wheel
