What is the BIGGEST tire one can fit stock?
I will be having to buy new tires for the Summer.. What is the biggest you can put on a stock 2500 4x4 quad cab. I am putting in 2" spacers in the front because mine didn't come with the snowPlow package. :'( On that note what all came really came with the snowplow package.. I hear heavier springs and shocks. is that all? them trucks with it do sit taller. about an 1.5" or so.. Or am I on drugs..

I run a 305/70/16 (33x12.50x16 give or take .4 inches) and get slight rub at full lock. Some people are running 35's on stock 4x4's with slight rub. As for the snow plow package, I live in Houston, Texas so I don't have that problem. ;D I'd imagine taller springs and shocks to compensate for the added weight of the snow plow.

I run 33x12.50xR16.5's on 16.5x9.75 (basically a 16.5x10) wheels I get no rubbing lock to lock [glow=red, 2, 300]on LEVEL ground[/glow]however I do get rubbing when going through ditches and such.

Nothing a $140 set of Skyjacker 2.5" coils couldn't cure!

Re:What is the BIGGEST tire one can fit stock?
I run 305/70R16's (33x12.5) on the stock wheels. They rub at full lock even with the spacers. Very light rubbing, nothing major. It's not the height of the tire, it's the width on the stock offset wheels that make them rub. With 2" spacers, you could probaby run 36's. I've seen a bunch with 35's. I went with 33's because I have 3.55 gears, and the 33's are all 3.55 gears will pull in my opinion. If I had 4.10's i'd get some 36's

Re:What is the BIGGEST tire one can fit stock?
Can anyone confirm what actually comes with the Snow Plow Prep Group? I ordered a 2500 H.O. last night with many goodies including the Snow Plow Group. But the dealer had no idea if the Snow Plow Group came with heavier duty springs/shocks or not. If snow plow group trucks sit higher then I would have to assume springs are included, can anyone verify this?
Re:What is the BIGGEST tire one can fit stock?
I would imagine that a spacer would fix the problem. On mine, I think a 1/4 inch or maybe even less would fix it. Mine only rubs a little bit on full lock. I know people with aftermarket wheels don't have the rubbing problem. I would imagine that's because they are running 10" wide rims or have less backspacing. A spacer would do the same thing for alot less
Re:What is the BIGGEST tire one can fit stock?
I'm running 315 MT/Rs. There is slight rubbing at full lock and full stuff. The wheel spacers would help the full lock rub. But the front end lift will not help the full stuff rub, only adjusting the bump stops will do that.

As for running 315s with 3.55s, I think it is still geared to low. It seems that I'm that 7th (2nd OD) gear. Maybe the gearing will be better when I go for the 44s.
