Looking for aftermarket wheels
Looking for aftermarket wheels
Anyone have any links or pictures of any cool wheels for the new trucks? It is dang hard to find anything in a 17" 8-bolt wheel. I havent found anything that jumps out at me yet. Anyone got any suggestions?
Go for 18 inchers
I have a set of 18" Welds I'm hoping will fit on the new truck I ordered. They set out too far on my 2001 4x2 'cause Dodge went with such an extreme positive offset starting 2000. They be OK on a 4x4 with 35" tires or something if they wanted the wheel setting out away from the body an inch more than stock.

Basically if you want to maintain your stock offset you are out of luck except for Budnik wheels (they do custom).

Just eyeballing the new '03s the offset is more conservative and getting wheels should be easier. Since Toyo, Les Schwab, Nitto Terra Grapplers and Falken all make 18" tires I would recommend looking at 18s. I just found out the BFG A/T KO comes in 285/65/18 now.

Vaughn
Re:Looking for aftermarket wheels
The BFG M/T's are nice too...35x12.50x18 on Helo wheels. Check out a Truckin' magazine or the like there are many more custom 17 and 18" wheels offered than are usually advertised anywhere else. Thats how I found mine. 18x10 Helo Maxx They also make them in 16,17, and 20 I believe.
