Can someone tell me what makes the Scotty kit 2x worth the Vulcan kit? I'm not trying to be an Edit (though that often comes naturally). I just want to make an informed purchase.

Scotty kit comes with more fittings, Vulcan kit has straight fittings, the hose makes the bend, Scotty kit comes with 90's and a needle valve.
Do a search, Scotty posted a while back and outlined some of the differences.
It's like 15 fittings v.s 5.

the Vulcan came out long after my kit. Its an alternative in a few ways.
I use the very best in Aeroquip fittings, biodiesel compatible hose, push lock fittings [no clamps] 90 degree fittings for smoother routing.
The vulcan offers a definate alternative but as you can see...both kits are different.
The link you posted from the dtr store has a lot more detail.
Its up to you as to what would give you the best value and ease of installation etc etc.

Knowing that my fuel lines are needing replacing, at 94,000 mi, I'm interested in these systems. Unfortunately they're for the 24V motors. Does anyone make the system for the 12V? I'm especially interested in eliminating the "quick connect" fittings at the tank, and the banjo fittings at the pump and filter, and possibly relocating the fuel filter. I've been looking into doing it myself, but it would be simpler if someone else already did the trial and error.

I'm running the Bully Dog Fuel management system and it works great. Came with all new fittings, big hose, and Holley Blue and yes the fitting @ the stock FP is a 90.
Great price too.

Don't know if you saw the Scotty Kit we put on Rob's truck in Waco, while you and Dan were doing your gauges.
I have not seen the Vulcan Kit, so I can't comment on a comparison....but if you've seen the Parts/Lines in Scotty's kit, you'll understand the price.
I do know from personal expirience the Scotty Kit will take you well past 400 hp without needing an additional upgrade due to low fuel pressure. If not planning on much more HP than you have now, the Vulcan may work well for you.
