I dont Have BFGs All terrains on my diesel yet , but have bought them for my old truck for 20+ years. I get some cut up tread lugs from off road and rocky roads. Never completely ripped off tread lug though. Maybe its because its a harder rubber. The mud terrains are a softer rubber also. I also always get at least 60,000 miles on them

A/Ts

On the tires every tread block is broken and some are ripped off. But it seems to be more on the right tire. I am going to try and call bfg and see what they could do. It cant hurt.

I have had mine on for a couple thousand miles or so. I haven't heard of the problem before. Usaully the BFG's are a very good tire. You may contact the tire dealer you purchased them from. The may warrantie them..

another idea may be see how your foot goes into the pedal on a turn. i have been know to over-do it cornering and chew up a rear tire! mostly on geolanders . wich are extremely soft. only got 30k out of them and that was more than enough!

Tires

Ok hears the thing my dad is the dealer for tires. I showed him and he said its because I get on it alot. He said he use to do the same thing to his dad. But I dont think that it should rip like that and the tires arnt bald so I'm not burning out. It only happend bad on 1 of them. So thats why I thought it was a defective tire.

Your dad says you are tearin em up . Hee Hee ! Sorry I have to laugh.

These trucks do wear out back tires pretty good with all that torque. Ya gotta go easy if ya want em to last then they still wear em out. My back ones only lasted 12000 mi (nitto terras grabblers, BFG are a way better tire)and they are down to the wear bars in the middle of the tread in the back . And im a old fart that drives slow.

I run the BFG AT KO and they do feather a bit on the rear with some of the corners flaking from gravel roads etc. I do have to rotate them alot to keep the tread square. I like em so far, about 40,000 km on them I think..

I had Yokohama SD05 before and they barely lasted 40,000 Km (25,000 miles) before they were bald. Too soft..

I have 54,000 on mine and the tread still looks good. If it wasn't for the dry-rotting and metal showing on the front right tire, I would try for abother 10k miles. The other three look good. I think I'll go with a high mileage highway tire next. I don't think I'll get BFG again for a truck. Great on cars though.

I have 38,000 miles on mine and i rotate them every 3rd oil change and they wear just fine.It is a true fact that a cummins puts out alot of torq at the rear tires, even if you drive like a grandma they will wear fast.
