Best deal on a TC

After speaking with the lady from DTT she advised me not to do just the VB if I want to add injectors she said it will be only a short matter of time before I need a new trans. she did say that a VB and TC would be a much longer lasting option and would probably hold the power with no problems. So now my ? is this, Where is the best place to get a Tc? Im on a tight budget but Im not going to throw my money away by buying a junk TC, Dtt singles are $1075 and thats kinda outta my range Im hoping maybe to be able to stay in the 700-800 range but maybe im dreaming. Im still going to do the VB depending on where I get my TC is when I will decide where I get it. So where can i get my TC?

I was wondering the same thing...I've seen some Billet TC on eBay with nice low 1600-1800 stall speeds, but I'm not really sure how well they are built. They are all furnace brazed and welded, but at only ~500 bucks it seems too good to be true.

Check out your local tc builders (if any)and see what they can do for you. Also its my understanding that a shift kit is as good as a new VB and a fraction of the cost. Like I said its my understanding. I could be wrong, but its something to look into.

Everything Ive heard about the shift kits basically say they can work but it can also be a headache getting them set up properly, and IMO i think its worth extra $$$ to just get a properly setup VB and not have to worry about it. Ive seen those TC's on Ebay really cheap and Ive wondered how good they would be but im not brave enough to try one without knowing anything about, but it does sound to good to be true.

keep in mind you get what you pay for. I'd give Dave G a call. He has some economical singles. 563-778-2719
