so what do you guys think?

i'm planning on paying cash, if that makes a difference.

you should be able to get a mega cab for that price!

I paid 31,527.00 for the 4x2 mega slt. Could have had the QC 4x4 but don't need/want 4x4.

Don't be afraid to walk out. get an internet quote. it's cheaper to buy a plane ticket to a dealer that will save you 3-4k, then you get to drive the truck home!!

That doesn't sound too bad to me. In April I paid 34,500 for the same but quad cab. I have the Thunder Road package.

Is it a 2500 or 3500? I recently bought the truck in my sig for $32.5K before tax, DMV etc. As suggested, check some of the internet dealers...also the reg cabs are sort of an orphan at resale time, you might find a QC for about the same price.

Good luck!

I bought my truck 1 month ago:

2006 Ram 2500 SLT Quad Cab 4x4
Big Horn Edition
Atlantic Blue over Silver (Two-Tone)

OPTIONS:
Light Group
Sound & Secure Group
Side Air Bags
4 Speed Auto
Electronic Shift on the Fly
Anti-Spin Differential
Power Sunroof
Block Heater
Steering Wheel Audio Controls
Front Hood Protection
Premium Cloth
Cummins Diesel

The MSRP was $45,000
I asked for the invoice sheet, which he brought out and it showed $40,100.00

I got it to 3% UNDER invoice for $38,900
They then gave me the $3500 in factory rebates PLUS that specific truck had ANOTHER $1000 in factory rebates due to the delivery date for a total of $4500 in factory rebates!

= $34,400.00 (plus taxes & plates)

So, your deal sounds good to me. 3% UNDER invoice plus rebates is the BEST I've seen. Some people get 4% BUT they don't get all the rebates.

The short end of it is.....you should get the truck for 3% to 4% under invoice plus rebates or financing.....anything else is too much.......

msrp on my truck was 45K

i paid just over 35K for a qc dually 4x4, slt bighorn

i don't think 30K for a regular cab truck is all that good

prices will vary depending on your location but for 30k i would think you could have more truck
