The load in question was my 30 ft 5th wheel (10,400 gross) and my 19 foot boat (6,000 gross).

I like the setup i have now... my buddy owns a junk yard and i go to his place and when he gets all new cars in i lift them with a fork lift and take the radiators, aluminum rims, and cat converters off and i strip them down and haul them down to the recycle plant about 3 hours away. My average load netted about 9,000 pounds on the trailer and i have to remind myself that i have a trailer because i accelerate with ease and 90% of the time im the quickest one off the line at stop lights and thats only like 1/4 trottle... if you build the setup correctly it will take care of you.. ive almost put 200k miles on the truck and i just now ran into my 2nd major problem 1st being all the head aches with making the tranny capable of towing anything......that is the 47re.....but yeah the truck runs awsome and i run biodiesel 100% for the last 2 years so that might also add to why the truck runs good because when i had to run a load with petro diesel once the truck felt sluggish compared to the normal biodiesel with power service mixed into it.

best of all i averaged 22-24 mpg on the trips to the recycle center

oh yeah i forgot to add i have a 65 gallon marine tank that i got from my buddy junk yard that i run in the bed of the truck for extrea fuel when i make those long trips because i rather keep the truck happy on biodiesel then worry about putting in some watered down diesel like most of the truckers in my area are complaining about...... i have 4 logg truck drivers on my street and all 4 have had mad problems with water in there fuel filters causing there trucks to stall out in the last year..........one driver said he averages about 1 fuel filter clogging on water a month
