Question BD Twins Modification...

I was wondering what is required to put a S400 inplace of one of the S300's on the BD Twin Kit. Is it a simple conversion or is it just better to get a custom setup? Thanks.

I already have a S400, but I don't really want to go through the headache of trying to set up the individual boost pressures of my HX 40 and the S400. Plus, my HX 40 is getting some age on it and I don't know how much I trust it with the S400. Figured I could get the BD kit and drop in my S400 and have two new turbos that I would have to worry about. I talked to the guy over at Source Automotive, and he sells all the piping for a custom twin kit and the price wasn't any better than a complete BD kit.

The flanges on the BD S320 (primary charger) are completly different from an S400!

Also, I'll PM you with another option

What kind of hp are you running? You should be able to run our regular set to 600hp. Our 02 is right at 600hp and egts are very hard to get over 1250. Lots of guys running them in the 5-600hp range.

Not sure on my hp...I have a S400 sitting at home and was wondering if it would work on the BD kit. I had heard a RUMOR that it was possible to mount it up and just wanted to find out so I would have another option to look at.

Your S400 won't work with the BD kit. IMO, in addition to the flange, would require all new Fab on air lines, oil drain, support mount, and downpipe. Could be done but....
Worth waiting for spring to see what they come up with on their 'Special Twins' Kit.
