My dad's truck looses power going down the road if you stop and take off again it sometimes fixes itself. If you put it in neutral when it looses power and rev it up it breaks apart and blows a ton of blue smoke. Just wondering if anyone else had a problem like this and what you did to fix it? It's an 02 with less then 80,000 miles on it and it only has a hypertech programer (60hp).

 

first I would unhook the chip if no cure test your lift pump .I assume you tried a new fuel filter?

 

Yeah new fuel filter.. I'll see how it is with no chip tomorrow but then it moves like a herd of turtles.

 

check ur codes mine did the same thing... bad vp

turn key on off on off on don't start watch odometer for codes

 

ok the hypertech does show codes but i don't know what they are right now
