Baby got new shoes

After the old girl survived her heart transplant (new injection pump), I decided to treat her to a new pair of shoes.

Bolted on a set of 315/75/16 BFG AT/KO's and a Daystar 2" leveling kit. Hit the dealer for a speedo re-calibration and got it right on the money, she's good to go.

Have to re-learn how to drive it now. Everything changes!!! Any recommendations on a ballpark tire pressure to start out. Running 50 psi now, too much for the rear already.

Pic is in my gallery, just waiting for it to be approved.

Thanks guys!

I run 50 up front, and 40-45 in the rear on mine.

Just came back from a "test" run. Had 50 front and 40 rear and it seemed to ride a lot better. Going to do the chalk test across the tread tommorrow and see what that shows.

Thanks guys

Truck looks awesome. Its funny how going 2 more inches makes it look better.

I have the same BFG AT's on my 4Runner running 38psi (31x10.5x15). My only thought was that mine are "C" rated tires. Don't know about 16" sizes, but wouldn't C rated tires on a 3/4 ton truck be somewhat unsafe ?

These are a "D" rated tire. Just fine for everything I use them for. Rarely do I tow and if I do, it's not too heavy. Right now, it's looking like 48 front and 40 rear is giving me the best footprint going by the chalk test.

I agree, not lots of lift to look gangley, but just a nice fit for the new skins..

Nice!

I just put on 305/70 R16 E Nittos this weekend and the dealer told me to run 65PSI all around, is this right?

What does the sidewall say should be max psi?

If it says 50psi max, then no way.
If it says 80psi max, then 65 might be good.
