I'm trying to figure out how to measure the housing on my HT3B. Vendor was wanting to know to give me a price on a twin setup. Can anyone elaborate on how to measure...????
Thanks,
You need internal cm2...as you probable know! That takes internal measurements and a lot more Calculus than this poor CTD driver knows. Sorry!
With just the radius on the turbine housing...along with the model #, Holsett, or a dealer ought to be able to come up with something close...maybe?

Towed with the lag pig tonight...about 125 miles, only 20 of them interstate.
Verdict...Spool-up isn't bad if you get on the throttle, as long as you don't mind the smoke . It's not really bad, ust hard to get used to not having instant boost. It's better on the freeway, but still too laggy for me. Just takes forever to get this thing up on boost with my meager fueling.
I'll get used to it, I'm gonna check mileage on my first tankful tomorrow,
Chris
BTW, judging by the numbers I posted above (44psi@1400*@110mph), what kind of power do you think I'm at??? I never thought I'd gain boost going to a bigger turbo, and I really can't believe I've got that much fuel
. Thanks Guys

Thanks for the suggestions, though

Chris, B-1 recommends a break in, at least they did to me...basically, go easy for first 400-500 miles. I seem to remember something about keeping it under 20 psi for 1st 400 miles and under 30 psi up to 1,000 miles. Can't exactly remember...but it makes sense when you think of those suckers spinning at 100,000+ rpm.
Hope you enjoy it! B-1 or HX-40 downpipe?
