Question B-1Bomber, HX-40, or Aurora 5000?

Anyone tell me which is the best single turbo for a 2002 6-speed. It's a 4x4 and has 3.55 gears and a Banks "Power-Pack" (125hp?) and 4'' straight pipe. What are the advantages/disadvantages of each turbo? I've read that the Aurora puts out 60#'s of boost, and I'm not sure of the others.

Which would be the best for towing? Or racing? Or both? Can a Banks be stacked (if so with what)?

Also, should a fuel "pusher-pump" be added?

Thanks for any input.

You need more fuel to run the Aurora 5000.
Other than it being big its probably one of the best (if not the best) bolt on turbo upgrades for your truck.
But it is a flat out competition single.

The B1, htb2, or ps62 are all about the same and really what you need right now if your going to tow and still want to play when it comes to that.

Thanks for all of the information. I'll pass this along to him. Hopefully he can get this project started ASAP.

Isn't the S-300 varient basically what he has now... in his Super B?

If your towing and racing you will need to compromise on both ends. What you have is about right for all around. What differences are you looking for?

I started this thread(https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=114630) a while ago and decided on a PS 62/14. I see where you are already running a Suber B, which I don't know what exactly is, but maybe you can get something from my poll. And again, maybe not.

A 62mm S300 variant is a B1, HTB2-62, and PS/SPS62...they are all S300 62mm based chagers!

I have a 2003 with a SuperB. The question was for my brother's 2002. He was looking into getting another turbo and was considering the ones I listed (but he's open to any other turbos). Will a SuperB also work well with a 2002? I don't hear much about SuperB. I bought it because it was inexpensive. Again, he has a Banks Power-Pack, which included a new turbo housing...I think that's what it was. My brother want's to be able to make his truck faster and tow better...nothing extreme on either end.

If he doesn't want to go extreme then I'd stay away from the 5000, Silver Bullet, Sps66 like Pourin Diesel said they are a competition turbo and I'm sure he doesn't have a ring job either. If it were me I'd go with something like a Sps 62 or even the 64 that but then again he'll probably blow a HG.

Also, should a fuel "pusher-pump" be added?

He should already have some other kind of pump unless he wants to replace that little VP44.

The super B should be great for his mods...I've been impressed with the one I ran. It spools awesome, and moves a lot of air for it's size. I'd say, under 400hp, it would be my choice for a 24v!
